The typical desktop computer is relatively expensive for many families. At the same time, having a computer is very advantageous. So by providing free or low-cost refurbished computers, we can help these families become part of our computer-driven society. Refurbishing helps the community as well as the environment, by diverting the used computers from landfills to productive uses.
Electronics can be disposed of through energy retrieval processes where they burn electronics releasing carcinogens or by burying them in landfills where the ground and water can become contaminated. By donating you are saving the computer from going to the landfills and spreading toxic waste. What we do with your donations:- reFURBISH them as much as possible
- reCYCLE what cannot be fixed
- redISTRIBUTE complete systems to charities, non-profit groups, and to people with limited access to technology
