Compu Corps.org, a high tech charity has partnership with OCISO to make computers affordable to immigrants.

. Order forms can be found at OCISO website http://www.ociso.org/computers.htm and should be brought in person to Joycelyn.
The computers are in very good shape, thanks to the donations made mainly by corporations around Ottawa. The good deeds of this local charity have spread outside Ottawa and landed its offers of computer donation as far as Toronto. Compu Corps.org technicians and volunteers work hard to ensure that every system works properly and have installed Windows and Microsoft Office.
This is not the first time that both non-profit organizations unite to serve the community. Compu Corps.org understands the importance of offering affordable technology to immigrants, since it is one of the most used ways of communication among the immigrants and their friends and relatives. It is often hard to integrate in a society where someone has to learn a new culture, adapt to the harsh weather conditions, find new friends and a job. Therefore, support of family and friends is crucial for a successful integration in a community. Who better than OCISO could understand the necessities and problems that an immigrant face? OCISO has been helping immigrants to settle and to integrate in the national capital region for 30 years, countless of immigrants have walked through the OCISO’s door which gave them plenty of knowledge about the obstacles that an immigrant face when relocating to Ottawa.
