Basic Information of Solar Energy

     Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, is the most of the available renewable energy on earth. Solar powered electrical generation relies on heat engines and photovoltaics.  To harvest the solar energy, the most common way is to use solar panels, or photovoltaics panels.

Now CompuCorps.org is planning to charge more than 500 laptops in one year with solar energy and to use solar energy in other areas. This project needs more panels to collect solar energy, and the total budget for the solar project is about $40,000. CompuCorp.org requires financial support. The whole project needs 44 panels and each panel is $720. For an individual person, the price of one panel may be too expensive. In this case, the donators can choose to buy just one cell of the panel.
