Partnerships

Partnerships are crucial to the success of CompuCorps in fulfilling its mission. It is because of companies and foundations which support us financially or through corporate donations that we are able to help our community in assisting charities and other non-profits.

Sponsorship

By sponsoring CompuCorps, a company would enable us to do many things. One of the more common forms of sponsorship which we receive are those related to large distribution events: if we want to deliver computers to a targeted group of individuals, we would do so in a distribution event which would be sponsored by a company. Essentially, the fees received through the sponsorship would cover the costs incurred during the collection and refurbishing of the equipment being donated.

Such distribution events are often featured in the news as was the case during our last distribution event; see Gifts put newcomers on the web.

Foundation grants

By providing CompuCorps with a grant, a foundation would allow us to expand our service area, expand our infrastructure, expand our technological capacities, expand our service line and essentially allow us to better service our community as well as new communities.

Grants have allowed CompuCorps to become what it is today by allowing us to create new programs such as TechMentor and TechClicks.

Partnerships

By partnering with CompuCorps on a project, an organization would help us provide a service while participating in it themselves. This is a very rewarding experience for the organization involved. Recently, CompuCorps has partnered with the Ottawa Police Services in order to make the TechYouth program a reality.
