CompuCorps.org will be distributing computers and raising awareness of e-waste

Ottawa, ON - June 5, 2008 – CompuCorps.org is proud to be part of the Spring Give Away Weekend that is taking place all around Ottawa on June 7^th, 2008. This year CompuCorps.org decides to show its generosity by donating computers – total of 10 refurbished systems - on June 7^th, 2008 at 10am and 12pm. Anyone is eligible to receive one of the fully equipped computers and even if you are not one of the lucky recipients, CompuCorps.org sells desktop computers, laptops and peripheral parts at low cost.

Since its creation in 2000, Compucorps.org has been successfully achieving its goal of refurbishing computers and laptops and redistributing to those less fortunate. Furthermore, CompuCorps.org has participated for 3 consecutive years in the Waste Reduction Week, urging citizens to be more consciously aware of the millions of computers being discarded annually and only a few of those computers were being refurbished or recycled.

The dedicated staff of CompuCorps.org will be welcoming everyone to their tech center -located at 1040 Somerset Street West - as well as raising awareness of electronic waste.
