Michael Willox
Chairman of the Board Economist, Dept of Finance, Govt of Canada
Michael came to Ottawa in 2002 after finishing a graduate degree in economic at McGill University in Montreal. He currently works as an economist for the federal government at Finance Canada. His involvement with CompuCorps.org began in 2003 when he sought greater involvement in the community he now calls home. Michael’s efforts include assisting CompuCorps.org conduct an evaluation for the TechMentor program as well as developing a sustainability framework to help guide CompuCorps.org as its mandate grew in size and scope over the years. He has served on the board of directors for CompuCorps.org as vice-president for the last four years.

William J Marvel
President & acting Treasurer Executive Director of CompuCorps.org
Bill is the founder and Executive Director (January 2000 to present) of CompuCorps.org. Bill graduated from Queen's University (Honours BA Human Geography) and studied French at l'Universite de Laval and is a PMP (Professional Project Manager since 2003).Previously, Bill was the Publisher of an internet career news service for engineering and computer professionals which hired its entire staff from a community group supporting employment for people with disabilities. Corporate experience included: Regional Manager for CAD Resource Centre, in Ottawa, Vice President of Recruitment for Thomson Tremblay and for Transit II Groupe Conseil in Montreal, he started his career with Burroughs Business Machines as a Territory Manager in Montreal. An innovator with computers since 1981, Bill likes to claim the purchase of the first "Osborne 1" luggable computer in Canada. He established the Klondike Osborne Users Group (KOG) in Edmonton, Alberta which created a basis of computer learning and sharing and comprised over 100 computer toting members from 1982 to 1985.

Paul Lozano Secretary
IT Manager - House of Commons
Paul moved to Ottawa in 1985 following graduation from the University of Toronto with a degree in Computer Science and Applied Math. Since then he has worked for a variety of organizations in both the private and public sector most recently with the House of Commons as the manager of the network group. Paul initially got involved with Compucorps coordinating a large donation of equipment from his employer at the time. Since then he's got involved as a member of the board of directors, a new experience Paul is thoroughly enjoying

Normand Asselin
Director Multicultural Development Advisor – Colufras Secretary Luso-Francophone de la Santé
Graduate in French Literature, Linguistics, Political Sc. and Ag.Economics, Normand is a retired diplomat and civil servant with Federal and Quebec govts as well as international organizations.Still runs an international NGO dedicated to the development of international networks, exchanges and co-operation between French and Portuguese countries in the Health sector. Hopes to help Compucorps become multilingual and develop international activities with other Canadian or foreign NGO's.

Witono Lukman Director PMO, Solutions Manager, MxI Technologies Ltd.
Witono Lukman first joined CompuCorps in 2007 as a volunteer project manager. He was later invited to serve in the Board of Directors and has been ever since. His main involvement includes the ProjectManagement Office, organizational development and continuous improvement strategies. Lukman holds an MBA degree and a Bachelor (Honors) degree in Industrial Engineering. In his current role as the Solutions Manager at Mxi Technologies, he manages a team of high caliber Solution Architects in delivering aviation maintenance solutions for various clients worldwide including Boeing, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Pratt & Whitney. Seeking greater involvement in the community, he puts his management skills and professional services experience into practice to help CompuCorps Mentoring moving towards its vision.

Jennifer Shillingford Director Cowater International Inc
Jen Shillingford has been involved with CompuCorps since 2002 as a volunteer, part-time employee and now as member of the Board. A McGill University graduate, she has over 25 years of business experience in project management, business analysis, writing and translation. She is trilingual and has travelled, lived in, and/or worked in numerous countries around the world, including Guatemala, Venezuela, Panama, Thailand, Belize, Iran, South Africa, Switzerland and Peru. She currently works as project officer for Cowater International Inc., an international development consulting firm. She wishes to help CompuCorps continue to expand and mature while reaching more and more individuals, communities and other non-profits locally and abroad through its innovative technology projects.

Majed Mattar Teacher Director IT Training Specialist, Osgoode Township High School, Ottawa
Majed Mattar has 10 years of experience in the technology information sector in various capacities. He began his career in National Defence and the Canadian Forces. In 2001 he went through a career change which evolved moving to United Arab Emirates to complete an international degree in Computer Science. Returning to Ottawa in 2004 he continued work in the information technology sector as a Network Administrator. While with Adobe Systems Canada, Majed joined CompuCorp as a Director of the Board. Majed has always enjoyed volunteering within his community with organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross, Ottawa Food Bank, Green Party of Canada and CompuCorp has reinforced his desire to help others. In 2006 Majed moved to China to teach English to college students preparing for a career in information technology. Majed completed the Education program with qualifications to teach Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Ottawa in 2008. Majed will start his teaching at Osgoode Township High School in the field of Computer Science in Ottawa. He loves to travel and has a goal of visiting every country in the world before retiring, this way he knows which country to retire in.

Greg Stevens
Director Marketing Manager Hewlett Packard Canada (EDS)
Greg Stevens, as director of marketing and communications, is responsible for driving growth and increasing brand awareness for EDS, an HP Company in Canada. With over 25 years in the IT services industry, Greg has extensive experience in both the public and commercial sectors in Canada and internationally in a variety of technical and management roles delivering IT infrastructure and applications services. Having chaired the inaugural Environmental Sustainability Committee for EDS Canada, Greg developed a keen interest in environmental issues as it relates to IT and wishes to support CompuCorps with its innovative programs for extending the life of IT and enabling disadvantaged communities connection to the world of the internet and online services. |
Magdalena Turlejski
Director MBA International Health Co.
Magdalena Turlejski has 8 years of experience in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors in various capacities. Magdalena is currently an International Accounts Specialist with Accreditation Canada International. Managing a large healthcare accreditation project in Italy, and she has also focused her efforts in the Middle East and the Caribbean regions. Her role involves planning, budgeting, implementing and ensuring timely delivery of client account-related activities.
Before joining Accreditation Canada, she was a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte in Ottawa. Among other human capital services, she was heavily involved in talent management, job evaluation and market pricing engagements with health-related associations and provincial Ministries.
Magdalena has studied in Spain and worked in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She is a keen traveler and has visited countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North Africa. She speaks fluently in English, Italian, Spanish, and Polish. Whenever she has a chance, she travels with her husband to new and exciting places.

Joycelyn N. K Glover MBA Director Carleton University Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO)
Joycelyn has over eight years of local and international management work experience in the private, non-profit and public sector. She is currently the Fundraising and Communications Coordinator at OCISO. Formerly OCISO’s Community Development Projects Administrator, she assisted with the administration, financial management and capacity building training of grassroots community groups with the goal of helping them to be self sufficient. She founded and managed Occident-Tel Company Limited, a telecommunications company in Ghana for 5 years, before moving to Ottawa to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management at Carleton University. She has a strong interest and experience in social development and the successful integration of community members; hence her keen interest to be a Director of the CompuCorps Board to help the youth, low income families, and disabled persons to gain access to technology to advance their careers and communicate with loved ones. She loves to travel to see and learn new cultures. She believes that our individual differences in cultures create synergies that we can use to make significant contributions in our communities.

Kim Hsieh Director University of Ottawa PHD Student
Kim came to Ottawa in 2006 shortly after he received his bachelor degree in Engineering Physics from University of Toronto. He has been a phD candidate with the department of physics at University of Ottawa since 2007. He currently works in the quantum theory group at Institute of Microstructural Sciences at National Research Council of Canada. He has been involved with CompuCorps first as a volunteer in 2006, then as a board member in 2007. With strong passion for technology and community work, Kim sees involvement in CompuCorps' works as a great honor and a perfect match to his worldview.
